John joins FIS as a seasoned investment professional with experience in international and domestic equity strategies. He began his public equity investment career as an analyst in New York, where he covered global developed and emerging markets for Oppenheimer Capital (OpCap), a $50 billion AUM employee-owned investment manager.
At OpCap, John became a Managing Director, led the global technology sector investment team, and served on the investment committee and portfolio construction team which oversaw long only, long-short, and multi-asset portfolios and strategies.
Most recently, John was Senior Vice President at Ariel Investments in New York, an $18 billion AUM employee-owned firm focused on all-cap equities across the US, Asia, Europe, and Emerging Markets. At Ariel, he served as a global equity analyst and client portfolio manager, managed institutional and high-net-worth relationships, and supported global separate account and fund strategies. He also served on Ariel’s operating committee, overseeing operational and strategic initiatives for the 130-employee firm.
John holds a B.A. in Economics with Distinction from Yale and an MBA from The Wharton School. He and his wife, Georgiana, live in Scottsdale, Arizona, and have two sons. In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, mountain biking, and skiing.
